The Beat of the Show

Ok so here’s the thing.  If you didn’t already like her, you probably wouldn’t give her a chance after her SNL performance.  However, I will say that I’ve checked out a few other live performances on YouTube and she doesn’t sound as bad as she did on SNL.  So I’d chalk up that performance to 1) Nerves - I mean it is SNL and 2) the notoriously mediocre and problematic sound at Studio 8H.  This performance from Later With Jools Holland is probably a better example of what she has to offer when she isn’t nervous and is performing through an adequate sound system.  2 cents done.
